I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and take great pride in being a product of our local educational system. After graduating in 1983, I continued my studies at Laredo Junior College. My career began in the U.S. transportation industry as an Account Executive with Central Freight Lines and Watkins Motor Lines, which the latter became part of Federal Express. During my time with FedEx, I had the opportunity to become a stay-at-home mom, raising two wonderful children and supporting my husband's successful campaign for District Judge.
My involvement in politics led me to actively participate in various benevolent organizations within our community, most notably the Laredo Women's City Club. For over 20 years, my membership in this organization has been a source of immense satisfaction, knowing that my contributions have positively impacted many Laredoans. My strong connections within the Laredo community have been a testament to the many business and social relationships I've built throughout my career.
